600 S. Main St in High Point N.C, home of Zaki Oriental Rugs, 98,600± SF showroom building was acquired by Homelegance affiliate on August 10, 2023, for $8.5 million.
The property is located in the Furniture Market District in Downtown High Point. Zaki Oriental Rugs, who donated the property to the seller, Akhuwat, had a 46-year history in High Point and will hold a 60-day sale of 4,000 high-quality rugs from Asia and the Middle East. Aging weavers and supply challenges led to the decision to close the business. Proceeds will benefit Pakistani nonprofit, Akhuwat, whose mission is to alleviate poverty by providing quality education and social guidance. Zaki’s legacy includes awards for his business success and philanthropy.
