Mr. Richard W. Redding
Executive Vice President

On August 1, 2008 we lost an irreplaceable member of our Meridian family. Richard died unexpectedly while vacationing at his new beach house at Ocean Isle, NC.

Richard was a partner in our firm and an inspirational leader with unrivaled knowledge and enthusiasm for our business. Ever the optimist, Richard’s beaming smile, unreserved spirit and boundless enthusiasm motivated us all. One attribute that made Richard such an effective broker was the fact that he never came across as a “salesman”. He enlightened his clients much like a teacher educates a student.

His 10 years as a city planner and background in architecture gave him the unique ability to “educate” his clients and help them navigate through the maze associated with buying and developing commercial real estate. Richard’s passion for his business was contagious, his energy boundless and not a day will pass that his contributions to our company and the city he so loved aren’t realized and appreciated. Nor will a day pass that I won’t think of him and how blessed I am to have had him as a partner and friend for 21 years. Richard’s family came first, his church second and Meridian third. Somehow he found time for all of us and we are all better people because of him.
